Porto: New epicenter in Europe?

The city of Porto continues to attract more and more foreigners from various backgrounds and with different objectives.

An example of this is the publication of a report by the German real estate agency Engel & Volkers, which states that in the premium segment, the price per m2 in the city has registered an impressive appreciation of 17.2% in the last year. Half of the buyers are foreigners.

Last week, the Financial Times distinguished Porto as the best European city in terms of attracting foreign direct investment. And it is in the information technology sector that this growth is most felt.

As for the volume of passengers disembarking monthly at Francisco Sá Carneiro airport, the latest published data continue to show growth, but with more modest numbers: a 2% variation compared to December 2024.
