Homepage » COVID 19 – UPDATE
With the Covid numbers improving – last week Portugal had on average 600 infection and 18 deaths per day – the government has start a very light opening of the economy and social live this 15th of March. The big opening will take place after Easter on the 5th April where the Museums, the shops up to 200sqm, all kinds of schools, and the terraces will open . Restaurants are schedule to open on April 19th.
From now on and finally we have a framework of 3 objective and scientific based criteria to follow through the opening or get back to a closing path. The 3 red lines are: i) a ratio of more than 240 infection per 100 000 inhabitants over the previous 14 days ii) a Rt (transmission ratio of an infected person and iii) a number of intensive beds occupied by Covid patients of over 245.
Although this represent a very tight criteria we now have a clearer sight over the pandemic and independent of government’s discretionary power.
